CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
The Morningstar Children’s Ministry goal is to minister the love of Christ to the whole family including:

The Children (Deut. 6:5-7): To share God’s Word with them that they might learn to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and strength.

The Parents (Heb. 10:24-25): To come up alongside them as they seek to raise their children in the ways of the Lord.

The Staff (1 Peter 4:10): To give them an opportunity to use and develop the gifts God has bestowed on them.

The Body (Phil. 2:3-4): To give them a chance to be able to be instructed in the Word without distraction. Read More...

The Christ and Cancer Facebook page is a gathering place for people in our church and beyond to come together to share their unique stories of how both Christ and cancer have touched their lives: their moments of worry and doubt, their special insight and knowledge and, of course, their tales of victory in the Lord. INNER CITY MISSIONS
"Shall I not love that great city?"Jonah 4:11 Says the God of Jonah, to rebuke his lovelessness toward a fallen people. We live on the fringes of a great city, upstream, that pumps music, thought, film, art, and worldview to our suburban doorsteps (if not the entire world). It's our prayer that in the midst of this great fallen City, Jesus may be known. It's our prayer that more and more Christians hear the call to this great city, and come that many may know Jesus in the city. Here at Morningstar, we believe that it’s the Gospel of Jesus Christ that changes a city. We seek to give the people of Morningstar the opportunity to serve the city, by bringing the Gospel to her. Here at Morningstar Christian Chapel, one of the many ways we love, serve, and model Christ in the community around us is through our Sports Ministry. Sports are huge here in sunny Southern California, and thousands of our neighbors participate in them, all the while having never met Jesus. We believe that sports are created by God, for the Glory of God; and that we as Christians can play them unto His Glory. Read More...

NURSERY MINISTRY
The Nursery Ministry provides childcare for babies under the age of 2. Trained nursery personnel are on staff to care for the children and allow the parents to attend service without distractions. OFF CAMPUS ON MISSION
Off Campus, On Mission is the college and young adults ministry of Morningstar Christian Chapel. Our mission statement is simple: “Get more of God, to give more of God, to get more of God.” Our vision is to see students captivated by the Glory of Jesus Christ responding in worship that leads and flows to lives of outward action. PRAYER CHAIN MINISTRY
The Morningstar Christian Chapel Women’s Prayer Chain provides an opportunity to join with other women to pray over the phone when needed. These ladies make themselves available to pray for immediate prayer requests that come through the church by phone or by email. PRAYER STATION
The Morningstar Prayer Station began as an outreach at Ground Zero in New York City. During the difficult days immediately following the tragedy of September 11, 2001, many individuals asked for prayer and some came to faith in Jesus Christ. Subsequently, the Prayer Station ministry has been brought back to Whittier and is now a regular outreach ministry. Read More...

Morningstar takes regular short-term trips to Mexicali, Mexico, and to several church plants around the globe. THE CHAPEL STORE
The Chapel Store is a ministry of Morningstar Christian Chapel - providing resources for those who attend Morningstar and for the neighboring communities who are looking for a Christian bookstore. The store is open 7 days a week and is staffed by volunteers who desire to serve the Lord by serving His people.

Growing Thru Grace Fulfillment Center

Growing Thru Grace is an outreach ministry of Morningstar Christian Chapel featuring the Bible teaching ministry of Pastor Jack Abeelen. The ministry is committed to the teaching of God's Word to as many as possible with the knowledge that God's Word will change lives. Read More...

USHERS
An Usher watches over and takes care of the needs of the people as they come to the church to attend services. During regular services, ushers are assigned different roles in the sanctuary, from seating people, to greeting and handing out bulletins at the doors, to helping parents find the appropriate classroom for their children. Every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM in Room 4, "With Wings As Eagles" meets to provide a "one-step" program for individuals who have had challenges with life-dominating sins and bondage.
