… and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Have you ever said, "I’ll pray for you," and then went about your business only to realize days later that you had forgotten and not prayed? In the past, I've been guilty of this more times than I would like to remember. But some time ago, I was challenged by a friend who said, "The next time someone asks for prayer, don't wait, pray right then and there." And so, I've made it a habit, if someone asks for prayer, I'll stop and pray right then and there. This has become such a good habit that sometimes I don't even notice I’m doing it.
The next time you get the opportunity to pray for someone, don't wait. Your act of obedience and faith will avail much.
