Romans 8:34

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Romans 8:34

Robert Murray McCheyne, a well-known pastor from the 19th century, once said, "If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet distance makes no difference. He is praying for me."

The above verse tells us, along with the verses that come before and after it, that we have nothing to fear because we have Jesus in our corner. Jesus, the man who died for the sins of the world! Jesus, the God who raised himself from the dead! This Jesus, whom we put our trust into, intercedes on our behalf all the time. When you have Jesus in your corner, you can stand with Robert McCheyne and know that you have no need to fear a million enemies.

Thank you, Jesus, for being in my corner,

Pastor Jason Witt
