1 Peter 4:12-13

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
1 Peter 4:12-13

Have you ever been in the midst of a trail and cried out to God, "Why is this happening to me?" Here Peter tells us that as Christians we are not to be surprised when trials come our way. Instead, Peter offers a different option in the midst of a trial, a choice... a choice to rejoice. Peter tells us that instead of being surprised by the trials that we are going through, we are to rejoice in them. We can rejoice in the fact that our Savior also suffered and knows exactly what our pain is. We can rejoice because we know that the worst this world can bring is the worst it will get for us, and one day we will stand in the glory of the Lord filled with exceeding joy. So when trials come your way, what will your choice be?
