1 Samuel 17:32, 38

Then David said to Saul, "Let no man's heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine."... So Saul clothed David with his armor, and he put a bronze helmet on his head; he also clothed him with a coat of mail.
1 Samuel 17:32, 38

David was the only man (boy) in Israel that had the heart to go out and face Goliath. His confidence was in the living God. Saul was willing to let David go as long as the lad was willing to wear his armor. It didn't work. David shed the armor and walked out with a sling and five stones. Are you facing a giant today? Don't go out in someone else's strength. God's strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let Him guide those stones that we fling at our problems and watch them hit the mark.

In His strength,
