Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

What does God want from you? Ask the average person this question and you will most likely hear something like "be a good person," "follow the 10 commandments," or some similar holy to-do list. But that's not what the Bible has to say about salvation. We have all failed to live up to God’s standard (Romans 3:23) and are deserving of everlasting death (Romans 6:23). There is nothing we can do to earn God’s favor. In fact, we don't need to. He loved us before we were saved. "But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ" (Ephesians 2:4-5).

What does God want? He wants you to accept His free gift. Have you shared this truth with anyone lately? Pray for boldness. Pray for an opportunity. And pray the Lord will use you to share His good news with someone you know.
