Habakkuk 3:17-19

Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls-- Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills.
Habakkuk 3:17-19

Have you ever thought about what it would be like if the Lord took everything away from you? Your house, car, food, water, family, money, cell phone, everything just gone. Would you be ok or would you be freaking out and screaming and posting on social media all the woes of your life? Habakkuk, after questioning the Lord through two chapters, comes to this conclusion. If everything is taken away, I will still rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. My hope is that we would be like Habakkuk and even if our car is totaled, our cell phone is stolen, and our home is robbed, we would rejoice in the God of our salvation knowing that He will be our strength and cause us to walk on the high hills.

Rejoicing in Him,

Pastor Sean Boehm
