1 Thessalonians 1:8

For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.
1 Thessalonians 1:8

The Thessalonian church was a church that didn't need any representation or anyone saying how faithful they were. They were so on fire for the Lord that not even those who were with Paul had to say anything about their faith. Paul had only spent about three weeks with them and still, when they heard the gospel they took it and ran with it. Paul, having only spent a short time there, began to worry and sent Timothy to make sure everything was okay.

This is an encouraging verse. Everywhere Paul went, he didn't have to say a word about the Thessalonian faithfulness because people just knew they were serious about the Word of God and it became contagious. I've gone places and people ask me where I would go to church and to my surprise they would say "Yes, we hear your Pastor on the radio." We are blessed to have a Bible teacher who goes through the Bible verse by verse. Now let's be a people who can live out our faith so when we say we come to church, they can say "Yes, we hear that lives are being transformed by the power of the gospel." Then like the Thessalonian church, we can set that example to the communities around us.
