Psalm 119:89

Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.
Psalm 119:89

How do you view current events? When there is bad news on the radio, the television, or in the paper, does it cause you to worry? As Christians, we know that we do not serve an absentee God. His hand is on the pages of history. As we look back, we can see His plan unfolding. As Christians, we are not shaken by the chaos, the violence, the strife, or even the bloodshed that we see fill the daily news. We know that these things are the consequences of man’s sin and greed. We are seeing prophecy fulfilled every day. As a Christian, when we read the news, we say to ourselves, "The Bible is true." No matter how foreboding the future, the Christian knows the end of the story. We are heading towards glory. Every writer of the New Testament believes that "the best is yet to come."

So when someone asks you if you are troubled by current events, you can boldly answer, "No, I've read the last page of the book. We win."

Looking back that I may be confident of the future,
