Luke 18:1

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.
Luke 18:1

Very often in our Christian lives, we seek to know God’s will. We so long to hear something clear and direct from Him. Here in the Gospel of Luke is one of those moments. Jesus gives a simple and direct command as to the Father’s will for us, that we would pray and not lose heart. He then backs up this command by teaching a parable about a persistent widow who continually made her request known to an unjust judge and was eventually heard. How much more will our Heavenly Father heed our pleas? Then Jesus ends this lesson by asking a simple question, "Now that I’ve told you how to walk in the Father’s will when I return, will you be doing it?"

Occupying until He comes,
