Psalm 66:18-20

If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear. But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!
Psalm 66:18-20

One glorious privilege for the believer is our access to God, night and day, in prayer. As His people, we should cherish and safeguard this blessing using His invitation to come and bring our cares to Him often. Our verse this morning is both startling and extremely helpful. The Lord tells us that our privilege of access given us by Jesus and His sacrifice can be negated by our decision to allow sin to run free and unchecked in our lives. To regard sin is to allow for it, to leave it unchallenged. Whatever sin that you are embracing, protecting, or regarding this morning will cause you to lose the greatest blessing God has provided for you: access to His presence. Is that sin worth it?

Loving to come into His presence with singing,

Pastor Jack Abeelen
