1 Corinthians 15:33

Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits."
1 Corinthians 15:33

Have you ever found yourself spending too much time with the people you are witnessing to and slowly find yourself looking more like them? I have seen this happen in the lives of many believers, including myself. You are trying to share the gospel with a friend or a coworker so you start to spend more time with them. They start inviting you to places you know are not good to be around, but you justify it with "I'm just going to go and tell them about the Lord."

As we do this, we begin to see ourselves using the language that they use, complaining about things in our lives, and doing things that we know we shouldn't do. We are told to go into the world and share the gospel but we are not told to put ourselves in compromising positions. Here, Paul gives us the warning not to be deceived. When we find ourselves justifying what we are doing, chances are we should not be doing it and we are deceiving ourselves. Ask yourself if you are being deceived by the influence around you.

For the King,
