Proverbs 21:2

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts.
Proverbs 21:2

When trying to share our faith with the world, one of the problems we encounter is people not believing in an absolute truth. In this post-modern world, there is no right or wrong, people can choose to do what they want and they shouldn't be judged.

The problem is that all of us tend to think what we’re doing is right in our own eyes. If people don't like it, tough! Yet the Bible clearly lays out those things acceptable to God and those that aren't. We might think we're right, but God weighs the hearts and knows what's right and wrong.

We need to be able to relay to people that not everything is acceptable to God, but God can accept anyone. He accepted Manasseh, who spent 50 years being one of the worst kings in all of history. Manasseh just had to repent and God forgave Him.

So instead of thinking what you're doing is right, accept Jesus in your life, who will make you right with God. It's better to be right in the Lord's eyes than in our own.

Teach me Your ways, O Lord,
