Acts 4:13

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
Acts 4:13

When Peter and John, fishermen by trade, testified with bold confidence before the judicial court about the risen Christ, something caused the authorities to be amazed. It wasn't their profound intelligence or well-crafted arguments. It was obvious to those in the room that spending time with Jesus had transformed these men.

Today, you and I have the privilege of spending time with the Lord whenever we want to. He welcomes our prayers. God freely gives us understanding and direction by His Spirit when we study His Word.

Life can rattle the best of us. Problems multiply, failures mount, and the person that I want to be stands miles apart from who I am. I have learned this simple truth however: being with Jesus changes me. Not a duty that I "should" accomplish out of obligation, but an opportunity for Christ to work and renew. What a wonderful testimony your life will be, when others notice that you have been with Jesus.
